The Tac-D 9" Pivot is designed for compatible 37mm signaling and civilian pyrotechnic ammunition. It is NOT a firearm. Do not attempt to fire firearm ammunition through any 37mm launcher. This includes 12-gauge firearm ammunition, centerfire cartridges, rimfire cartridges, and Beehive rounds.

Violating these restrictions can damage the launcher, cause serious injury, potentially violate BATF regulations, and void your warranty. There is no acceptable response of “Roger, but…” to this portion of the briefing.

The 9" Pivot pairs the established Tac-D receiver with a purpose-built pivoting upper and 9" barrel. Familiar controls, straightforward mechanical operation, and a little more launcher out front.

3. DESIGN CHECK // POSITIVE CONTROLS

The spring-assisted barrel moves forward to clear the strike plate, then pivots for loading. A positive barrel lock secures it when closed. Follow the supplied operating instructions and confirm proper closure before use.

The pivot assembly uses a 1/4" pivot screw and two hardened 1/8" steel dowels to maintain alignment. The design keeps its components coordinated without a lengthy radio conference.

Construction combines 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum and hardened 4140 steel for durability without unnecessary bulk. Florida workmanship, with a little flight-line character.

6. MOUNTING // CONFIRM PLATFORM COMPATIBILITY

The Tac-D 9" Pivot attaches to compatible Picatinny-equipped platforms using the included 4" clamp and dual-bolt mounting system. An integral machined handguard adds rigidity while keeping the design straightforward.

Aluminum components receive the specified MIL-A-8625 Type II, Class 2 treatment, while steel components are black oxide treated.

Remarks and restrictions: Confirm that your complete mounting setup is suitable for the launcher and its recoil, particularly with KeyMod or M-LOK systems. This part of the briefing deserves more than a distracted “Roger.”
